1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Still Studio ("we", "our", or "the application") handles your data when you use our website and image processing tools. Unlike traditional online conversion utilities that upload files to external servers for batch transformation, Still Studio is engineered specifically to run entirely inside your client browser.
2. Zero Image Upload Policy (Client-Side Processing)
When you drag, drop, or browse an image file (such as JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP):
- Local Decoding: The file is read directly from your local filesystem into browser memory via the native HTML5 File and Canvas APIs.
- Local Computation: All transformations — including resizing, aspect ratio adjustment, rotation, DPI density calculations, and compression encoding — occur locally utilizing your computer's or smartphone's CPU/GPU.
- No Network Transmission: The raw image data, altered pixels, and final generated output are never sent over the Internet to Still Studio servers or any third-party infrastructure.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for your name, phone number, physical address, or account registration.
- No Image Content or Metadata: We cannot see, view, index, train models on, or store any photos or files you process.
- No Advertising Trackers: We do not employ third-party advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or behavioral profiling scripts.
4. On-Demand Third-Party Libraries (PDF Export)
Still Studio is self-contained. The single exception is our optional single-page PDF export feature: if and only if you explicitly choose the "PDF" export format, your browser fetches the open-source jsPDF library from an established public content delivery network (cdnjs). This request transmits standard HTTP request metadata (such as your browser user-agent and IP address) to the CDN provider to retrieve the JavaScript file. However, your image file itself remains strictly inside your browser and is never shared with the CDN.
5. Browser Memory & Temporary Data
Any image currently loaded into Still Studio exists only in temporary RAM inside your current browser tab. As soon as you click the "Remove image" button, navigate away, or close the browser tab, all decoded image buffers are automatically released and purged from memory.
6. Compliance with GDPR & CCPA
Because Still Studio does not collect, store, or sell personal data or uploaded media, we comply with the fundamental privacy principles of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) by design (Data Minimization & Privacy by Default).
